Official Press Release –Colm Quinn Galway International Rally 2014.

Donnelly Motorsport are delighted to confirm their entry for the Colm Quinn BMW Galway International Rally. Eugene will compete in the right hand drive MINI WRC supported by Colm Quinn MINI and with the intentions of participating in all six rounds of the 2014 Irish Tarmac Championship.

Colm Quinn himself is really looking forward to being involved again saying “We are delighted to be not only supporting Eugene in the MINI WRC, but also to be the main sponsor of the Galway International Rally itself”. He went on to say “The timing of the Rally is perfect as it coincides with the start of the opening of our new dealership based on the Tuam Road in Galway City”. “The area is steeped in Rally tradition and the locals are really looking forward to an event where they can see their motorsport idols up close”. Having supported Eugene for the last two years at the Galway International Rally, we felt this was an opportunity not to be missed.

Alongside Colm Quinn MINI, Pro-Tune have come on board again with their support for Eugene. Mickey O’Brien (MD) has had a long association with the team and is delighted to have the opportunity to get involved. “Eugene has been working with me to promote Pro Tune throughout the island of Ireland. We have just launched new software that will produce fuel savings as well as improved performance for cars, tractors commercial vehicles and HGVs”. Mickey went on to say “This is the perfect time to be involved with Donnelly Motorsport and the Tarmac Championship. We see the positive exposure it gives us and is a very effective way of promoting ourselves to the market”.

The rally has always a great atmosphere and attracts a great family orientated crowd. The stages are definitely some of the most demanding in the country and its always a big challenge trying to figure out what mother nature is going to do, which makes this such a great event to compete in. I wish Galway Motor Club a safe and successful event”.
