Following a very enjoyable Rally at the Safety Direct Galway International, Eugene has confirmed he will drive a Mc Geehan Motorsport prepared and run Toyota Corolla WRC at the upcoming Circuit of Ireland.
Looking forward to the event, Eugene is relishing a return to a Corolla, a car that brought his 3 back to back Tarmac Title wins. “We had a great run in Galway in the MINI WRC and were delighted with the result. I still believe though the Corolla is a very competitive car and can’t wait to get back onto the stages”. “Darren Gass is the perfect example of how older machinery can still be competitive. He put in a fantastic display (driving a Subaru) in Galway and was truly rewarded with a great win”.
Paddy Toner will again accompany Eugene in the Co-Driver seat for the Circuit. Undoubtedly the crowds will be out in force over Easter Weekend and as Eugene explains, it makes all the difference, “To see the crowds lining the course, makes it special. The passion and excitement they create is something special”.
The Circuit of Ireland Rally is without doubt the major event of the year. Steeped in history, it has witnessed some of the all time classic ‘battles’. Eugene and Paddy are very much looking forward to it and look forward to seeing as many of you over the weekend as possible”
